Patron Program

Our Patron Program is designed to make sure we raise enough money to make a real impact and engage everyone in our community in meeting our goals. Our Patrons are the cornerstone of PEF’s fund-raising strategy. Our goal is to raise $100,000 in donations for 2010-2011 from new and returning Patrons, the minimum needed to sustain our program for another year - raising funds beyond this will provide a basis for future expansion to fill other essential needs across our District.

Your Patron dollars will be used to encourage broad community participation. Funds raised from our Patrons will be released to the District only when matched by at least 50% with money from other PEF community fund-raising including membership drives, fund-raising events and individual donations of amounts less than $1,000. We’ve set a minimum goal of $50,000 for community fund-raising, matched with $100,000 in Patron donations to fund our 2nd year program. Furthering the power of your donation, PEF established a grants committee in 2010 to research and identify sources of external funding. As our early program results arrive, PEF plans to apply to philanthropic institutions and corporations for grants that enhance our programs through additional monetary and equipment donations. Your patron donation will directly impact our schools by funding new programs and positioning PEF to seek additional outside financial support outside of Pacifica.

Patrons will be honored in the months and years to come through a variety of means, including recognition on our PEF Website and in PEF communications, annual Patron appreciation events and more. Most rewarding, however, will be the satisfaction our Patrons receive in knowing they are improving education in Pacifica for every child, now and in the future.
