PEF Needs Your Volunteer Support!
PEF needs volunteers at all levels and we welcome anyone willing to dedicate their time, attention and energy to driving the PEF mission forward. Opportunities to volunteer include:
Volunteer Support for PEF Programs and Operations: PEF programs and operations need volunteers to execute and/or manage a host of administrative, operational and marketing activities. Opportunities to support PEF include participating in fundraising efforts, membership drives, recruiting participants within and across school sites, support for operational needs including correspondence, accounting & bookkeeping, website management, data entry and a host of other much-needed assistance. Committee Leadership: PEF programs are designed and managed by Committee leaders. Committees including areas such as Fund Raising, Membership, Community Outreach, Corporate Outreach, Marketing and Communications, Grant Development, Appropriations and various Governance committees. Many of these Committee efforts are waiting for one or more dedicated and inspired individuals to take on the challenge of making them real and organizing a volunteer base to support their efforts. If you are an organized self-starter and excited about bringing your leadership skills to a PEF Committee, we would like to speak with you!
PEF Board Membership: The PEF Board of Directors maintain up to 15 positions at any given time with a minimum tenure of 2 years in most cases. Potential Board members agree to bring a higher level of commitment and leadership to the organization, including both time and financial support. Candidates for the Board participate in an evaluation process designed to ensure consistent, quality leadership for PEF at all times. Our Board Members typically fill one or more the following responsibilities:
- Committee Chairperson
- Committee Member
- Liaison to their PSD school site
- Lead major fund-raising efforts, community events or outreach programs
- Serve as an officer on the Executive Board
