Looking back on Prom Night!
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Pacifica Education Foundation hosted “Prom Night: An ’80s Fundraising Gala” at the Farallon Room at Skyline College. The evening brought the community together for a night of retro fun while raising critical funds for music, arts and science education across the Pacifica School District.
The Farallon Room was transformed into an ’80s-inspired celebration featuring:
Casino-style games
A DJ spinning ’80s hits
A live auction benefiting Pacifica schools
Hors d’oeuvres and adult beverages
Free childcare provided by Happy Hall Schools
Guests dressed in their best ’80s prom looks and festive attire
More than just a celebration, the gala served as a significant source of support for PEF’s mission. The event raised nearly half of PEF’s annual budget, providing critical funding for enriching educational opportunities for TK–8th grade students throughout the Pacifica School District, including the expansion of hands-on science programming to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders for the 2026/27 school year.
Every ticket purchased, bid placed and contribution made helped support programs in music, the arts and science, allowing PEF to continue investing in opportunities that enrich students’ educational experiences.
The evening demonstrated the power of the Pacifica community to come together, celebrate its schools and make a meaningful investment in its students.
