Celebrate Arts Education Month with the first annual Pacifica School District Wide Art-Thon March 1 - March 31 2021
This year’s theme: Here Comes the Sun!
The Challenge: Create a piece of two dimensional visual art (painting, drawing, sketch, collage, coloring, etc.) inspired by the 2021 Art-a-Thon theme Here Comes the Sun and what it means to you.
Materials: Families are encouraged to use materials found in their homes, whether that be art supplies or recycled goods! Families may choose to donate additional supplies to one another through contactless porch pick-up.
How to Participate: Join the Art-a-Thon Google Classroom by using code q6go2rp. On the Art-a-Thon Google Classroom, you will:
Have access to how-to technique videos by Sanchez Art Center artists
Learning resources for discovering famous artists who created works that reflect this year’s theme
Ability to post and respond to families who may have art supplies & materials to share
Have your questions answered

Join the Art-a-Thon any time throughout March! Participants will upload a photo of their finished artwork to the Google Classroom by March 31st. Submitted works will be compiled into a video that will live on District, school, and community websites to share our creativity with all of Pacifica.
