Welcome to Our New Board Members and School Ambassadors!

We are so delighted to welcome a new group of leaders to the PEF Board and Ambassador team. Here's a bit more about them and about their passion for serving Pacifica's students.

Betsy Landrum

Ambassador, Sunset Ridge Elementary

Betsy Landrum is a parent of a current Sunset Ridge student and a Sunset Ridge graduate now attending Cabrillo School. She previously served as a Member-at-Large and SEPAC Ambassador for the Sunset Ridge PTO and is currently a co-lead for Pacifica's 4-H Club. After many years as a licensed commercial real estate appraiser, Betsy is now focused on family and community involvement. She is excited to serve as a Pacifica Education Foundation Ambassador and help support the teachers, students, and programs that make Pacifica schools thrive.

Sophia Bush

Board Associate

Sophia Bush is a Pacifica parent, entrepreneur, and community professional passionate about education, creativity, wellness, and inclusion. Through her work at AbilityPath supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and as the founder of Wick2Whispers, she brings experience in community engagement, program development, and building meaningful partnerships. As a PEF Board Associate, Sophia is committed to strengthening community connections, supporting sustainable growth, and helping expand equitable educational opportunities for Pacifica students.

Sara Yap-Yui

Director of Grant Development

"As a parent in Pacifica, I am passionate about supporting our local schools and ensuring that all students have access to equitable educational opportunities. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I believe in fostering inclusive, supportive environments where children can thrive. I am excited to contribute to the Pacifica Education Foundation and support the success and well-being of our community’s students."

Karen Kee

Strategy & PSD-PTO Partnerships

"I grew up in Singapore and had an all-rounded education where I learnt to play the guitar, was inspired by science and needed help with art lessons. Since moving to Pacifica in 2022, I have had the opportunity to be more involved in local education and am excited to be a part of PEF's board to ensure that our future generations will continue to have Music, Science and the Arts as part of their educational programming."

Angela Ingrassia Arwady

Ambassador, Ortega Elementary

Angela is a mom of three, artist, children's book author and founder of Unpacka.com. She believes in community, public education, small business and the power of wearing clothing intentionally. She also likes long walks on the beach and long dogs - her dachshund is named Levi.

Vivianne Reed

Partner Relations & Digital Content Development

"I grew up in Pacifica and went to Ocean Shore. I've built my entire career here—starting as Program Director at Surf Camp Pacifica for years, simultaneously working across the community with organizations like I Know Joe, the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce, Demented Skateboards, and Anderson's Swim & Scuba. I care deeply about making sure local kids have access to quality programs and that all our families know what PEF offers."
